Inflamed Muscles

Pure muscle damage, such as a rupture, is rare. However, we often get pain when muscles are forced to work in the wrong way. Long-term and continual static work causes harmful strain on muscles and can eventually lead to a shortening/ retraction of the muscle. A short muscle is weakened and the muscle’s attachments are strained and inflamed.

This is a very common cause of strain problems in the shoulder, which we can avoid by varying working routines more. It is important to work in a way that uses many different muscles. Stretching, for example allows the body to straighten out and the muscles to stretch, reducing the risk of this type of injury.
